William J. Bollinger
William J. Bollinger has spent the past several decades as a leader and visionary in the employment screening, consumer finance, credit and third party debt collections industries. Prior to joining Innovative, Bill co-founded and built National Background Data into a leading screening industry provider of criminal history database and background information, leading that firm to acquisition by First Advantage and leading NBD for an additional five years post-acquisition before joining Innovative in late 2009.
Clifford J. Williams, LPI
Clifford J. Williams, Innovative's Founder, is a 20+ year veteran of the screening industry. A long-time active leader in the National Association of Professional Background Screeners, Cliff has served as a member of the NAPBS Board of Directors (2007-2009) and has chaired and maintained an active role in the NAPBS Provider Committee, helping to establish industry best practices for providers across all segments. Cliff led his firm to 2008, 2009, 2015 and 2016 recognition as one of the INC 5000 Fastest Growing Privately Held Firms in America. He is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Criminal Justice Services as a Private Investigator (DCJS 99-220869) and is a former police officer.
Aaron D. Tatem, LPI
Aaron D. Tatem has spent nearly two decades building his industry experience from the bottom up, beginning in Innovative's court research and court record quality control functions, leading Operations in a supervisory capacity, and filling his current role as manager and policy leader for the entire Operations Division. In his current role, Aaron is directly responsible for setting policies, procedures and operational best practices to ensure the highest quality and integrity of Innovative's information products. Aaron is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Criminal Justice Services as a Private Investigator (DCJS 99-220871) and is also commissioned as a Notary Public for the Commonwealth of VA.
Dean Carras, CFE, LPI
Vice President & Chief Compliance Officer
Dean Carras, CFE, PI, serves as Innovative's Vice President & Chief Compliance Officer. He is a long-time active member of the National Association of Professional Background Screeners and currently serves as a member of the NAPBS Board of Directors and as Co-Chair of the NAPBS Conference Committee. Dean has served in past capacities as NAPBS Provider Committee co-chair and as ASIS International's Charlotte Chapter 65 Secretary (2007-2008), and as a former member of ASIS International's Council on Business Practices. He is a former magistrate judge for the State of North Carolina where he served for 12 years and is a veteran of the screening industry, having served in various capacities from Research Manager to Chief Compliance Officer. Dean is a Certified Fraud Examiner and is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Criminal Justice Services as a Private Investigator (DCJS 99-212824) and as a DCJS Compliance Agent, as well as by the State of North Carolina (2816-PIA). Dean has obtained NAPBS Basic FCRA Certification and NAPBS Advanced FCRA Certification as well FCRA-FACTA certification by the Consumer Data Industry Association.
Timothy Z. Brothers
Vice President of Sales & Technology
Tim Brothers serves as Innovative's Vice President of Sales and Technology. He is primarily responsible for overseeing Innovative's direct sales and marketing efforts and providing leadership for the company's information technology and data groups. Tim brings more than two decades of industry experience serving the CRA, mortgage reporting, consumer credit, tenant and employment screening markets. He has served the National Association of Professional Background Screeners in an active leadership capacity as a committee co-chairman and as a member of the NAPBS Board of Directors.
Ryan W. Chesney
Chief Technology Officer
Ryan W. Chesney, MSIM, Chief Technology Officer, has served as a member of the Innovative team for more than a decade, implementing new technologies for back-office applications and web services to improve workflow and to seamlessly integrate Innovative with clients, providers, industry software platforms and other partners. Prior to joining Innovative, Ryan worked as a software engineer for Raytheon under Computer Sciences Corporation and also worked as a contract programmer for the United States Air Force. Ryan holds a Master of Science in Information Management degree from Arizona State University.
Director of Data Operations
Brian Hays serves as Innovative's Director of Data Operations and is responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity and highly-efficient operation of Innovative's data systems and repositories. Brian is a 16 year veteran of the screening industry, having been directly involved in the management of data integrity and quality assurance for criminal and eviction databases since their introduction into the maintstream background screening vernacular more than a decade ago.
Director of Screening Partner Sales, Support & Growth Strategies
Perry Morgan serves as Innovative's Director of Screening Partner Sales, Support and Growth Strategies and brings more than 30 years of experience in technology-driven markets to the Innovative team. Perry has held previous positions with industry firms including National Background Data, HireRight and ChoicePoint. Perry works directly and exclusively with firms in our Screening Industry Partner Program, Innovative's 100% wholesale distribution channel to the background screening community.
Director of Operations
Laurel Stoddard serves as Director of Operations and oversees day-to-day operations, including the quality control program. Her primary responsibility is ensuring that Innovative's rapidly-growing suite of services continues to be delivered in a manner that exceeds customer expectations. Laurel brings with her more than two decades of screening industry expertise, having served as Public Records Supply Chain Manager at American Background Information Services in Winchester, Virginia.
Director of National Sales
Kim Castellanos serves as Innovative's Director of National Sales. She is primarily responsible for working directly with the professional screening firms and connecting them with Innovative's industry-leading suite of products and services. Kim has served the industry in a number of capacities for the past decade, ranging from Public Record Research Specialist to her most recent role as Vice President of Business Development for AccuSearch, Inc. in Phoenix, Arizona.
Strategic Accounts Executive
Tom Hier serves as Strategic Accounts Executive and brings more than 16 years of screening industry expertise to Innovative. An industry veteran, Tom knows the screening industry inside and out, having served in capacities ranging from Operations Manager to Sales Executive. Most recently, Tom worked as Channel Executive for Experian. He is an active member of both NCRA and NAPBS and volunteers on both the Tenant Screening and Best Practices Committees.
Strategic Accounts Manager
Katie Douglas serves as Strategic Accounts Manager and brings more than 12 years of professional account management experience to the Innovative team. Her relationship building approach combines strategic growth, compliance regulation and issue resolution for the customers she serves, ensuring a strong business partnership and building mutual success.
